Tsarskoselskaya amber workshop completed the restoration of three seats for the interior of the Lyons hall. The armchairs were made in Russia and dated by the XIX century.

Newspaper "Evening St. Petersburg" dedicated the article "The Last in the Golden Suite" to the restoration work carried out by the Tsarskoye Selo Amber Workshop in the Lyon Hall of the Catherine Palace.

"The fabric for the Lyons hall was woven in the same manufactory that supplied silk for this hall as far back as the 19th century.Luckily, in the archives of the French weaving manufactory, as well as in the funds of the" Tsarskoye Selo ", there are small cuts of this fabric that will serve as models for scale work "...

In the Tsarskoselskaya amber workshop, the restoration of the Chinese chess set of the 18th century was completed. A unique item, from the collection of GMZ "Tsarskoe Selo", decorates the interior of the Malinova Stolbova Catherine Palace. A chess set made of bone, on a perlamtur board is exhibited in the center of the hall, on a slot table.

Junior journalists from the children's newspaper Sami came from Barnaul to St. Petersburg to take part in the 16th Tsarskoye Selo forum of the school press. By lot, the guys got the theme "Restoration of the Amber Room of the Catherine Palace". The Tsarskoye Selo Amber Workshop gladly accepted future journalists and shared with them their knowledge about amber and restoration. The excursion for young talents was spent by the deserved architect of the Russian Federation - I.V. Yarotskaya.

One of the best restorers of the Tsarskoye Selo Amber Workshop, Konstantin Sergeyevich Ivanov, is busy with the restoration of the case for playing chess and a trick-track. A unique item, from the collection of GMZ "Tsarskoe Selo", was made in Koenigsberg in the 17th century. Its uniqueness is not only in honorable age, beauty and fineness of execution, but also in the use of bone carving under transparent amber.

Journalists of the Rossiya Tv channel not only visited the church of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ in the Catherine palace and witnessed the magic of the restoration process, but also learned from the art experts of the SMP Tsarskoye Selo about the treasures that were discovered in the church during the restoration works.

Tsarskoselskaya amber workshop completed the reconstruction works on the second lapis lazuli door portal for the Lyons Hall of the Catherine palace. Scientific reconstruction became possible with the financial support from Transsoyuz fund. 

The head of the ambercarvers department of Tsarskoselskaya Amber Workshop - Konstantin Ivanov was awarded a breastplate by the mayor for his services to St.Peterburg and Pushkin.

Tsarskoselskaya amber workshop took part in an annual minerology exhibition in Munich (Germany), Oct 27 - Oct 29 we exhibited several of our replicas and a lot of modern amber objects: decorative panels, icons, photo frames etc.

Manolo Blahnik visited the Amber Workshop after opening his personal exhibition at the State Hermitage museum. A world-famous Spanish footwear designer got to see the backstage of museum life, saw the current restoration projects and admired our pieces of amber art. Amazingly Mr.Blahnik even wished to learn amber crafr from our artists-restorers. We would definitely appreciate an apprentice like him.

"Tsarskoselskaya amber workshop" is restoring wooden parquet floor in the Bedchamber of the Catherine palace for the State Museum-Preserve Tsarskoye Selo. Wooden parquet floor is made of rare and expensive sorts of wood, such as: maple, mahogany, sandal and oak. This parquet floor was created according to the project by Ch.Cameron in 1781-1782. 

Tsarskoselskaya amber workshop is carrying out restoration works in the Hermitage pavilion for the SMP "Tsarskoye Selo". One of the most glorious pavilions of the Catherine park is getting ready for the summer season and tourists. 

One of the most elegant interiors of the Catherine palace waiting to be brought back to life, the Lyons Hall now has a decorative lapis lazuli portal restored by the craftsmen of Tsarskoselskaya Amber Workshop.

LLC Tsarskoselskaya amber workshop has recently started a new restoration project - restoration of a Carrara Marble fountain in the Private garden of the Catherine park (SMP Tsarskoye Selo). The work is supposed to be completed in late 2017.

Tsarskoselskaya amber workshop completed a set of decorative panels "Four Beauties of Ancient China". The panels are made of natural Baltic amber in flat mosaic technique, the same as was used in reconstructing the famous Amber Room, with engravings and colouring.  

Tsarskoselskaya Amber Workshop has started restoration of the door portal of Lyons hall for the SMP Tsarskoye Selo. The Lyons Hall - one of the front rooms of the Catherine Palace - in the middle of the XIX century it was part of the private apartments of the crown princess and later Empress Maria Alexandrovna

Tsarskoselskaya Amber workshop will take part in the Munich Mineralientage - annual gemstone and fossil exhibition. It will take place October 28 - October 30 at the Munich Trade Fair centre. 

Today, on August 24th, after an extensive restoration, the main pavilion of the Alexander park - the Arsenal, opened its gothic doors to the first visitors. It now hosts a large exhibition "Imperial Collection of Weapons" created in collaboration with the State Hermitage. 

Catherine palace and SMP "Tsarskoye Selo" held an Amber Forum on July 21, 2016. The most crucial questions of amber industry were raised during the discussion. Director of the Tsarskoselskaya Amber Workshop had an honour to open the even together with a representative from Kaliningrad Amber factory.

On June 10, 1981, exactly 35 years ago, the Soviet Governemnt signed an official decree №891-р, according to which the reconstruction works in the Amber Room were handed over to the Tsarskoselskaya Amber Workshop. 

Thirteen years ago, on May 31, 2003 the reconstructed Amber Room was open to the public. One of the happiest moments for the team of the Tsarskoselskaya Amber Workshop, such profound feeling of completion and appreciation. 

We want to congratulate all our colleagues and partners with International museum day! Since 1977 this day has been very important to everyone involved in museum activities. Museums are truly one of the strongholds of culture and therefore society in general.

Today in Dresden "Tsarskoye Selo Amber Workshop" together with their Lithuanian colleagues from UAB "Pajurio gintaras" opens the exhibition «Faszination & Mythos Bernsteinzimmer». More than 100 exhibits came from Tsarkoye Selo, Russia. They reflect the history and geology of amber.

Tsarskoselskaya amber workshop has been working with scientific reconstruction of objects that were lost during the World War II for years. The amount of work that has been already done is stunning.

These days we are working on recintrsution of a very difficult object - grand chest from the Berlin colelction. 

New figurine "Gypsy lady" was added to Creative works. The figurine is made of different kinds of jasper, jade and chalcedony. "Gypsy lady" also shows great beauty and intricacy of jewelry work.

As many know, Pushkin has been a centre of arts for decades. It boasts to have one of the best museum ensembles in the whole North-West region of the country. No wonder that it also has one of the best art schools in the city, that concentrates on educating and forming those, who are later are going to be art geniuses. Today teenagers from the Art school named after Anna Akhmatova came to the Amber workshop to learn about amber and the story of the Amber Room reconstruction.

Tsarskoselskaya amber workshop is now preparing for the next tourist season 2016. In this regard we have prepared a new Information letter and a Contract for the upcoming year. In these documents we have put all the information which will be necessary for tour agencies who would like to work with us in 2016. 

Committee of Development and Protection of the Changbai area in the Chinese province of Jilin, invited Tsarskoselskaya Amber Workshop to participate in the development of the region and bring 55 items of amber and hard stones to the exhibition.

Beatiful clocks were recently restored for the Agate Rooms (Cold bath pavilion, SMP Tsarskoye Selo).

Gorgeous decorative panel in Tibetan style was made by the craftsmen of Tsarskoselskaya amber workshop.

In preparation for the 300th anniversary of Oranienbaum and the completion of the first phase of the restoration of the interiors of the Chinese palace, Tsarskoselskaya amber workshop has recently finished restoring historic mosaic smalt table.

At Paris Fashion Week Valentin Yudashkin fashion house presented a pret-a-porter collection, for spring-summer 2015. One of the main themes of the line being the famous Amber Room.

LLC "Tsarskoye Selo Amber Workshop" presented a valuable gift to the State Museum-Preserve "Pavlovsk" - restoration of an antique Wedgewood vase from the collection of the museum.
